We are pleased to offer an affordable option for the budget minded sportsman. Unguided hunts will take place on various parcels of land ranging from 40 – 360 acres. The properties are located in Coshocton, Muskingum, Licking and Knox Counties and are within 15 miles of our managed properties. You will arrive Saturday at noon, with the actual hunt taking place Sunday afternoon thru Friday. Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning are to be used for scouting and stand placement.
We do have lodging available in the cabin pictured above for our unguided hunters at a rate of $25 per man per night. The cabin is fully furnished with a full kitchen, washer and dryer and is located 11 miles from our main lodge. The cabin will comfortably sleep up to 5 hunters. If you have at least 3 hunters in your party it will lock in the cabin for your group. Single hunters or a group of 2 may share the cabin with an additional hunter or 2.
This is a Do-It-Yourself hunt. You are required to hold out for a trophy scoring 125” or larger. With the proper tags you may also harvest up to 5 does. Each doe harvested equals 1 entry into our drawing for a FREE 2010 HUNT! Hunters will be required to report all deer harvested so that accurate records can be kept.
Unguided hunts include the following:
1. Maps of the property you are assigned to.
2. We will show you around and make suggestions as to how to hunt the property.
3. We are available to talk to or ask questions if needed.
4. You supply your own stands or blinds.
5. You need to make arrangements for lodging, transportation and meals.
6. We will assist with deer tracking and retrieving.
This is an outstanding opportunity for the budget minded sportsman to hunt huge whitetails! Over the past several years our unguided hunters have had well over a 50% opportunity rate. Unguided hunters will be expected to arrive at our retail sporting goods store the Saturday before their hunt between 11am and 12.
